We made the news with a special delivery via Hugh Heffner’s “Bunny” plane in 1970. Baltimore Jack arrived as gorilla Hazel’s new companion. Son Fabayo was born in 1975 as a result. We also had a couple of other special births – orangutan Duchess gave birth to Bess in 1979 and white rhino Tambile had a baby girl in 1978. Four month old Asian elephant Ruby came to our Zoo in 1974 and she spent time with a goat named Pearl as you saw in yesterday’s post.
